How To Fix Ripped Grommets
Military style ponchos and blue tarps are excellent for building field expedient shelters. One of the great qualities they have is the built in grommets to tie your line on to. But unfortunately those grommets are not always extremely tough. So what do you do if those grommets rip out? What now? You still need shelter… Check out the video below to see how to make a “button” to tie your line to instead of the grommet. This is a great bushcraft tip that can be used on a piece of plastic an emergency poncho or even an emergency space blanket.
